However, its ambiguous litteral signification could also translate into "he who speaks from far away".
Since the aim of this blog is to share our daily life with our family and friends while we are far away from home , we thought this name was quite appropriate.
We came to the idea of naming our blog "fernsprecher" as we walked by the museum of communication in Sachsenhausen, Frankfurt, a few days ago. There, an exhibited old public telehone box drew our attention: it was the first time we saw this word instead of the international "Telefon".
